Occupational Safety and Health Education and Research Centers (T42)
Agencies
Centers for Disease Control (CDC)
Description
The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), invites grant applications for Education and Research Centers (ERCs) that are focused on occupational safety and health training.
ERCs are academic institutions that provide high-quality interdisciplinary graduate and post-graduate training, research training, continuing education, and outreach in the core occupational safety and health disciplines of industrial hygiene, occupational health nursing, occupational medicine, and occupational safety, as well as allied disciplines.
Research and research training are integral components of ERCs, with ERC faculty and NIOSH trainees conducting research on issues related to the NIOSH National Occupational Research Agenda (NORA) and emerging issues to advance the field of occupational safety and health.
ERCs serve as resources for our nation's workforce through continuing education, outreach and strong collaboration with professional associations, worker advocacy groups, businesses, industries, and public health agencies. ERCs work with other institutions and organizations, including Minority Serving Institutions and other NIOSH supported training programs to have a positive impact on worker health, safety, and well-being.

Keck Foundation (Keck)
Description
The W. M. Keck Research Program seeks to benefit humanity by supporting Medical Research and Science & Engineering projects that are distinctive and novel in their approach, question the prevailing paradigm, or have the potential to break open new territory in their field.
Past grants have been awarded to major universities, independent research institutions, and medical schools to support pioneering biological and physical science research and engineering, including the development of promising new technologies, instrumentation or methodologies. Grants range from $1 million to $5 million and are typically $2 million or less. Please see our grant abstracts for examples of funded projects.
The Research Program employs a two-phase application process with optional pre-application counseling. All communication with the Foundation, including submitting applications, proposals and reports must be via the institution’s designated liaison. Please see the liaison guidelines for more information on this role.

Title
Advanced Computing Systems & Services: Adapting to the Rapid Evolution of Science and Engineering Research
Agencies
National Science Foundation (NSF)
Description
The intent of this solicitation is to request proposals from organizations who are willing to serve as resource providers within the NSF
Advanced Computing Systems and Services (ACSS) program. Resource providers would (1) provide advanced cyberinfrastructure (CI)
resources in production operations to support the full range of computational- and data-intensive research across all of science and
engineering (S&E), and (2) ensure democratized and equitable access to the proposed resources. The current solicitation is intended to
complement previous NSF investments in advanced computational infrastructure by provisioning resources, broadly defined in this solicitation
to include systems and/or services, in two categories:
Category I, Capacity Resources: production computational resources maximizing the capacity provided to support the
broad range of computation and data analytics needs in S&E research; and
Category II, Innovative Prototypes/Testbeds: innovative forward-looking capabilities deploying novel technologies,
architectures, usage modes, etc., and exploring new target applications, methods, and paradigms for S&E discoveries.
Resource Providers supported via this solicitation will be incorporated into NSF’s ACSS program portfolio. This program complements
investments in leadership-class computing and funds a federation of nationally available HPC resources that are technically diverse and
intended to enable discoveries at a computational scale beyond the research of individual or regional academic institutions. NSF anticipates
that at least 90% of the provisioned resource will be available to the S&E community through an open peer-reviewed national allocation
process and have resource users be supported by community and other support services. Such allocation and support services are expected
to be coordinated through the NSF-funded “Advanced Cyberinfrastructure Coordination Ecosystem: Services & Support” (ACCESS) suite of
services, or an NSF-approved alternative as may emerge. If this is not feasible for the proposed resource, proposers must clearly explain in
detail why this is the case and how they intend to make the proposed resource available to the national S&E community.
The ACSS Program especially seeks broad representation of PIs (including women, underrepresented minorities, and individuals with
disabilities) and institutions (including those that have not historically provided nationally allocatable cyberinfrastructure) in both the community
of resource awardees and resources users to continue growing the scale and diversity of the S&E community.

Submission Limits
Limit on Number of Proposals per Organization:1
An organization may submit only one proposal but may be a subawardee on other proposals responding to this solicitation. The restriction to
no more than one submitted proposal as lead institution is to help ensure that there is appropriate institutional commitment necessary for
responsible oversight, by the potential awardee institution, of a national resource.
Collaborative projects may only be submitted as a single proposal in which a single award is being requested (PAPPG Chapter II.E.3.a). The
involvement of partner organizations should be supported through subawards administered by the submitting organization.
These eligibility constraints will be strictly enforced in order to treat everyone fairly and consistently. In the event that an organization exceeds
this limit, the proposal received within the limit will be accepted based on the earliest date and time of proposal submission (i.e., the first
proposal received will be accepted and the remainder will be returned without review). No exceptions will be made.
Limit on Number of Proposals per PI or co-PI: 1
An individual may be the PI or co-PI on no more than one proposal that responds to this solicitation. There is no limit on the number of
proposals with which an individual may be associated in other capacities, such as senior personnel.
These eligibility constraints will be strictly enforced in order to treat everyone fairly and consistently. In the event that an indivi

Climate Smart Humanities Organizations
Agencies
National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH)
Description
As energy costs rise and natural disasters become more frequent, humanities organizations - such as museums, libraries, archives, historic sites, and colleges and universities - face an enormous task: to anticipate operational, physical, and financial impacts of climate-related events on their institutions, while also reducing their own impact on the environment. Climate Smart Humanities Organizations supports these efforts by offering federal matching funds for comprehensive organizational assessments that lead to strategic climate action and adaptation plans.
Through the Climate Smart program, your humanities organization can undertake activities such as energy audits, risk assessments, and meetings with consultants. The resulting climate smart plan helps you establish goals and prioritize actions that reduce your organization’s impacts on the environment through mitigation and vulnerability from extreme events through adaptation.
Individual organizations can apply for themselves or lead a consortium of organizations collaborating on strategic climate smart planning.

NEH Summer Stipends
Agencies
National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH)
Description
The National Endowment for the Humanities’ Summer Stipends program aims to stimulate new research in the humanities and its publication. The program works to accomplish this goal by:
Providing small awards to individuals pursuing advanced research that is of value to humanities scholars, general audiences, or both
Supporting projects at any stage of development, but especially early-stage research and late-stage writing in which small awards are most effective
Funding a wide range of individuals, including independent scholars, community college faculty, and non-teaching staff at universities
Summer Stipends support continuous full-time work on a humanities project for a period of two consecutive months. NEH funds may support recipients’ compensation, travel, and other costs related to the proposed scholarly research.

Occupational Safety and Health Training Project Grants [T03]
Agencies
Centers for Disease Control (CDC)
Description
NIOSH / CDC invites grant applications for Training Project Grants (TPGs) that are focused on occupational safety and health training. NIOSH is mandated to provide an adequate supply of qualified personnel to carry out the purposes of the Occupational Safety and Health Act. NIOSH supported Education and Research Centers (ERCs) and TPGs are how NIOSH meets this mandate. The majority of TPGs are in academic institutions and provide high quality undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate training in a variety of occupational safety and health (OSH) and allied disciplines. NIOSH also funds non-academic TPGs to meet specific training needs of targeted populations including firefighters, commercial fishermen and OSH interns.
