The Greenwall Faculty Scholars Program in Bioethics is a career development award to enable early-career faculty members to carry out innovative bioethics research. It supports research that goes beyond current work in bioethics to help resolve pressing ethical issues in clinical, biomedical, and public health decision-making, policy, and practice, and creates a community that enhances future bioethics research by Scholars and Alums.
Each year, the Foundation selects approximately three Greenwall Faculty Scholars to receive 50 percent salary support for three years to enable them to carry out a specific research proposal and develop their research program.

The Rita Allen Foundation Scholars Program provides grants to leading biomedical research institutions selected by the Rita Allen Foundation Scientific Advisory Committee and within parameters defined by the Rita Allen Foundation Board of Directors. The Scholars Program supports research scientists in the early stages of their
careers. Fields of research are cancer, immunology, and neuroscience. The Rita Allen Foundation reviews grant proposals by invitation only.
Individuals chosen will be designated Rita Allen Foundation Scholars and the affiliated institution will receive financial support from the Rita Allen Foundation of up to $110,000 annually, for a period of up to five years.

Description
To enhance the development of a workforce that will support the design, construction, operation,
and regulation of nuclear facilities, this program provides funding for students and early career
(untenured) faculty to support areas in nuclear-related fields, including nuclear science,
engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, environmental science, electrical
engineering, fire protection, geotechnical sciences, nuclear technology, structural and material
engineering, health physics, nuclear fusion (fusion energy research), nuclear safety, and other
nuclear-related disciplines. Related disciplines supported by this funding are intended to benefit
the nuclear safety and security broadly. Proposals will be considered under this announcement
for projects that would foster the development of innovative community engagement strategies,
including incorporation of principles of equity and environmental justice. The following types of
grants will be awarded under this NOFO:
• Scholarships
o Scholarships for Institutions of Higher Education that Offer Bachelor’s Degrees;
o Scholarships for Institutions of Higher Education that are Trade Schools; or
Community Colleges that Offer Certificate Programs or Associate’s Degrees;
• Fellowships; and
• Distinguished Faculty Advancement Program

An institution may submit only one application in response to this announcement for each of the
Scholarship, Fellowship, Distinguished Faculty Advancement, and Trade School and Community
College Scholarship grant programs. If applying for more than one program, the institution must
